Janet Akery

Janet Akery has been a core member of Refreshing Winds Ministries, Inc. since 2001, where she has flowed in the gifts of teaching, administration, prophetic intercession, comedy, exhortation and encouragement. Janet joined the RWMI, Inc. Board of Directors in August of 2022.  Janet resides in Spring, Texas, where she retired from a lifelong career as a CPA. Her husband of 25 years, David, went to be with the Lord in 2014. They share a beautiful blended family of 6 children, 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Janet is a member of The Woodlands Methodist Church, where she participates in Radiant Bible Study for Women and is co-leader of one of the small groups.

Janet was licensed and ordained through City of Light/Hunter Ministries in March of 2009. She has served on ministry teams, as head intercessor, as a bible study leader, in women’s ministry, in workplace ministry, in ministry of helps, as church treasurer and as a church planter. Janet is also active in the Houston North Emmaus Community, the Kairos Outside Houston organization and the Texas Apostolic Prayer Network.
