Sunday Night Lights

Sept 5, 2022 in the western calendar and 9 Elul, 5782. As I sit quietly soaking in the last moment of a fiery sunset on the coast, I am reminded of the fiery light in God’s eyes and heart for us- the ones He loves. He wants us to know him so well that we can get right in His face, trusting Him like the Perfect Pappa that He is. Why? So we can be even more transformed by His unconditional love and truth for us. I’m so fascinated by the Hebrew and Gregorian calendar differences and similarities. I love studying them. This month of Elul is the time when “The King Is In the field. Out and among us, as opposed to away in His Palace. He is saying “Come”! “Come and
Meet with me. Come closer, face to face. See and reflect how we have been, and how you can be even closer to me, and know me even more than you ever have before. No one will ever be turned away. You are why I stepped out, and came out into the field…To be with you beloved. The light of the sun sets on the old day, and prepares to rise upon the new day. Be honest with yourself and me, and Arise to meet me face to face each and every new day this month. There is only one you, and I love you. -God.
1Peter 2: 9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him, who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
